He spoke about the aims and objectives, modus operandi and possible impact of LiFE Programme. He appealed to all for little change in our behavior and mindset to the environment friendly lifestyle. He elucidated seventy five actions to be followed by ourselves in our daily life for better world. He also mentioned about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and informed that Mission LiFE contributes directly and indirectly to almost all the SDGs.

A lecture on â€œDiseases in daily life and their protectionsâ€ delivered by Chief Guest Dr. D.S. Mertiya of AFRI Dispensary. During this program he provided detailed information about communicable and non-communicable diseases in human caused by the current lifestyle. To get rid of these diseases, the Dr. Mertiya told Yoga, Pranayama to be useful. He also answered various queries of the audience. Sh. M.R. Baloch, Director AFRI also expressed his views on the subject. Dr. Tarun Kant, GCR, Smt. Bhawana Sharma, HoD, Extension Division, all Scientist/Officers/Staff are present in this program. The coordination of program was done Smt. Kusum Parihar.

BPCL has Sold 4649 number of High Performance domestic Cooking Stove through our distributors in the month of January-2023.

These High Performance LPG Stoves are developed by BPCL and registered number of patents for the same.

The salient features of Bharat Hi-Star Cooking Stove are as follows:

Technology licensing agreement signed with 7 LPG stove manufacturers.
A domestic LPG cooking stove with improved thermal efficiency of 74% plus (BEE Star 2 rating) has been developed which is highest among all available burners in the market in India and International.
The newly designed LPG cooking stove is 5-6% more efficient as compared to the ones currently available in the market.
The developed cooking stove is estimated to save 1 cylinder per family of 5 members per year.
Combustion of 1 Kg of LPG produces 3 Kg of CO2 emissions. This will results in reduction of 150 g CO2 emissions per kg of LPG Consumed. This is huge benefit to the environment.
High performance efficiency burner will reduce the LPG consumption in India and it has direct impact on reduction of LPG import implied savings on huge FOREX.
BPCL has filed 4 patents and 4 design registrations for Bharat Hi-Star.

Culmination of Navratris is observed with immersion of holy Sakh in running water as a sign of devotion to Goddess. This is popularly known as â€œSakh Visarjanâ€ and is traditionally done on Ashtami and Navmi or the last two days of Navratris. Visarjan of Sakh in holy Rivers / Canals, is thus, a popular event during the last two days of Navratris. During Sakh Visarjan, thousands of devotees throng Rivers to immerse the holy sakh along with every other Puja item, viz., chunri, havan samagri, flowers, old pictures and idols of gods / goddesses etc., lying with them since long.

Such immersion of huge quantity of dry/wet waste, thus, becomes one of the potential reasons of pollution of holy Rivers which are already under threat of survival. Rivers flowing through the heart of a City hold a significant sentimental value for the local population.

JKPCC organized awareness cum waste segregation / collection camps at respective hot spots of Sakh Visarjan in five major district, viz. Samba, Udhampur, Kathua, Reasi and Jammu with objective to reach the people right at the spot of SakhVisarjan, interact with them and try to sensitize them. The aim was to motivate the devotees to immerse only the holy Sakh in Rivers and convince them not to immerse any plastic material and other biodegradable / non-biodegradable waste apart from holy Sakh to save Holy Rivers.

On 10 May 2023, Awareness camp was conducted at Indian Oil Ahmednagar Depot outside Maingate on all the themes of Mission-Life activities. Tripunithura, Ernakulam on June 01, 2023 during â€œPraveshnolsav 2023â€.The programme was inaugurated by chief guest MLA Mr K Babu. Ms. J. R. Sneha, Officer (Cochin LPG BP) Distributed 60 Nos of LED bulb to school management and distributed tree saplings to student. The aim behind organising this program was to give awareness to school children about Life Mission and spreading the importance of being Pro planet. Ms Sneha addressed the audience with an enlightening speech mentioning how small endeavours could make a big difference and explained various tips to save energy as well as Indian Oilâ€™s Vision to attain Operational Net Zero by 2046. As a prequel of the event 60 Nos of LED bulbs were distributed with the vision of transforming to a sustainable lifestyle. The event ended with distribution of tree saplings and an interactive session with school students. Bicycle Rally

Marking World Environment Day and World Bicycle Day, Embassy of India, Bahrain in association with Bahrain Cycling Association organized a cycle rally, flagged off by Shri Ihjas Aslam, Cdâ€™A, Embassy to spread the message of Mission LiFE (Life For Environment). The rally from the Embassy to Water Garden City, Seef saw a participation of about 75 Indian and Bahraini cyclists. The event also launched the celebration of International Day of Yoga 2023 in Bahrain the Embassy.

Participate in and mobilize participation for clean-up drives of cities and water bodies

IOCL Paradip Refinery organised an event of â€œPloggingâ€ primarily of the plastic wastes at Mahanadi River Estuary, Paradip, Odisha for conserving the beaches and water bodies. A good span of the beach area was cleaned during the event and trash collected was sent for disposal through authorised recyclers and Paradip Municipality. After the Plogging event, a tree plantation drive of native species was also carried out in the adjoining coastal area.

Effective measures were taken to implement the action points planned for promotion and observance of Mission LiFE one-week focused campaign from 10-14 July in Embassy of India, Moscow. Posters (standies) were installed in all the 3 Embassy buildings and digital publicity was done by sharing Mission LiFE content on Mission website and social media handles to encourage adoption of healthy lifestyle, energy saving, water saving and waste reduction practices, and reduce use of single-use plastic. Mission LiFE videos were played on loop in visitor hall of the Consular Wing. Embassy was declared a plastic free zone. Flushes, taps and water pipes of the Embassy were checked for any leakage. Bins were installed at various locations in the Embassy. Trees were planted by the Ambassador in JNCC premises on 14 July 2023.
